1. What is the translucency heat-treatment for?

Translucency heat-treatment embeds fine crystals into the glass matrix, enhancing translucency and mechanical properties.

2. What should be considered for translucency control?

Two factors determine translucency: temperature and holding time. Adjusting these creates HT, MT, LT, or MO levels from a single block.

3. Does veneering powder baking affect translucency?

No. Veneering does not significantly alter translucency.

4. Can translucency be changed by re-firing?

Yes. Re-firing increases translucency. For example, LT → HT levels are achievable.

5. What powders are compatible?

Compatible with veneering porcelains whose CTE is ≤ 10.0 × 10^-6/°C. Zirconia powders compatible with firing ≤ 850°C can also be used.

Natural Opalescence & Fluorescence

Amber® Mill recreates the opalescent effect of natural enamel, showing bluish tones under reflected light and warm yellow hues under transmitted light. Its fluorescence mimics natural tooth structure, enhancing realistic esthetic outcomes.
